I think he can have overpairs, often KK/QQ here.

I wouldn't fold. He can still have lower overpairs.

[ QUOTE ] I wouldn't fold either. sometimes I play my flush draws like this and raise the turn reprsesenting trips. works well usually you are also ahead of many pockets. don't fold. [/ QUOTE ] I absolutely agree with your reasoning. The problem here is that this guys does not bluff. Im absolutely sure hes got the gods. Ive shown strenght preflop and flop and still this passive calling staion reraises the turn. Against most players i would 3 bet or at least call the turn but i choosed oterwise against this player. Though he may have a overpair and my read may not be as acurate as i would like to think. One of the aspects of my game im working on, is when to fold top pair or overpair and i may have taken this too far this time..... (sigh) [/ QUOTE ] 2 comments: 1. He may not think hes bluffing. This board misses a lot of potential hands for you. 2. I would assume he does bluff though maybe less frequently than some, but your hand is way to strong getting 7-1 to fold. |

WTF! This is like the 3rd post in 1 day where somebody wants to fold Aces (i.e. "the nuts") on boards that don't literally read:
Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (where they have black aces). Don't fold the nuts when you're getting limit holdem type odds and the board isn't nutso scary. There's always a decent chance that they're either bluffing or overplaying a worse hand that they think is the nuts. |
