Re: Flopped set of Aces in trouble?
[ QUOTE ]
FWIW, BB had QT, other guy had JK and hit the case K on the river. [/ QUOTE ] So...................??????? Don't limp with AA pre flop raise flop here every time and too bad about his luck on river. [/ QUOTE ] Was looking for more of a strat discussion than BBV stuff, but oh well. [/ QUOTE ] What strategy this is so basic it's not even funny. The .01 .02 guys don't even ask questions like this. |

Re: Flopped set of Aces in trouble?
jack frost,
With so few posts I don't think you have a right to be so abrasive towards a long time 2p2er, and regardless of how many posts you have you just came off as a complete douchebag. bills, I also don't like the limp here unless we have a solid read that the table is aggressive enough so that we can 3-bet the likely pf raise by someone else. Unless this is very likely, I raise here 100% of the time. I think a flop 3bet is very important here too, with 3 broadway cards it's better to jam now with top set imo. Wonder if others agree. |

Re: Flopped set of Aces in trouble?
[ QUOTE ]
Actually I didn't really get what I wanted out of this thread - bad subject line I guess. This hand is a friend of mine's, and I told him I hated limping AA pretty much ever, and I hated not 3-betting the flop. He was also telling me how he was ultra-sure for whatever reason that the flop-raiser had QT, and I was telling him there's no way he could be that sure. I also thought he could have shoved turn as opposed to calling, but I guess the call is ok. Was looking for more of a strat discussion than BBV stuff, but oh well. FWIW, BB had QT, other guy had JK and hit the case K on the river. [/ QUOTE ] general rule if you want comments on the flop, don't post the turn action |
