I don't think this is terrible. I don't see a reason to raise the flop. I'd bet the turn smallish, but checking isn't horrible. On the river I don't really mind a min-raise, but I'd probably make it a bit bigger.

I don't see a reason to raise the flop. [/ QUOTE ] To balance the times you bluff-raise this flop, if you do that. I'm definitely raising this some of the time. |

Given your turn check, you need to raise the river bigger. You basically have the nuts, so play it more strongly.

I'm not saying 0%, talking about a standard line. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I agree calling is generally better since we are in position. If we are OOP, on the same flop, I'd prefer raising as a standard line because you can't credibly represent a bluff by just calling OOP (raising can be a bluff but calling OOP looks like you have the ace). |

Re: AKs in Rerasied pot. 160bbs deep - weird line with TPTK.
iknow i have the best hand... thats not the issue here at all
the question is: how often does villain have AJ/AQ vs 99/JJ-KK? i thouhgt Ax was much less likely after his turn check and then his super weak river bet. do you guys think KK/QQ call a raise to say 85? |

I mean if you were floating, you'd bet the turn, so do that when you have the nuts as well. Since you didn't bet the turn your hand is underrepped and you can raise big on the river. |

Re: AKs in Rerasied pot. 160bbs deep - weird line with TPTK.
I think you are missing loads of value here. He will go to showdown more often with Ax than with an underpair.
JJ will call a turn bet. Ax will call a turn bet AND a river bet. JJ shoudl not call a river raise, unless it's a miniraise. Ax will call a river raise, larger than a miniraise (So miniraising loses value) All hands are more likely to call a river bet IF the pot is big and you can offer them decent odds, but you build the pot on the turn. |
