Re: Looking again at TASR
I have played 3 555$ sngs before in my life. I firsted all of them.
As you can see, I am VERY skilled at these games. In fact, my ROI is about 200%- I am a true expert After all, you have to be VERY GOOD at poker to win THREE tournaments in a row. Honestly, can you remember the last time you won 3 tournaments in a row? anyone who is interested in coaching, please PM me for rates Also, let me know if you would be interested in staking me. Thx for your interest p.s. desertcat your stock picks are awful, 'NICK' is down 2% since I bought it, so I decided to sell out and buy TASR instead because: 1. David Slansky said to ( I have to give more weight to his opinion than yours since he makes 150+% a year in the stock market AND he's famous too. ) 2. Tasers are cool 3. It only costs $14 a share- that means its cheap. (right??) 4. For all the haters out there, this article will help show how safe tasers really are: http://educate-yourself.org/pnt/gorm...l29mar06.shtml I'll be using one on my 5 yr old kid from now on when he misbehaves. http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreF...ount2=179313302 anyone know how well these ones work? It seems kind of small. I really need something with a lot of juice to control my kid- he is a troublemaker. And I can't wait to get my dog too, he never listens to me. Also does anyone know about the background check on these? I may need some help surpassing it, depending on what kind of info they want, etc. Thank god for google. |

1. Product/ industry analysis 2. Evaluation of management 3. Valuation [/ QUOTE ] The most important thing you are missing is analyzing the business itself. You want to determine likely sales levels and profit margins going forward. This will give you a reasonable valuation, and you can discount that valuation for risks that you uncover in your analysis of product/industry (competition)/management. Things to like about TASR is they have some patents and as far as I know, there isn't a competitive replacement product, so the business has some monopoly like characteristics. This should lead to high profit margins, high returns on invested capital, etc. But as we've seen, it hasn't. So one point of the research is to determine whether that success is right around the corner, or whether there are problems that will prevent TASR from improving it's financials significantly. And if you determine the business is good and expect it to generate lots of free cash flow, but you think management will poorly invest those profits (like in their own pockets), that's a whole nother problem. |

When you look at the actual financial performance of both companies over their history, it's very clear which is the better choice. I hope you stick with TASR for a very long time... |

[/ QUOTE ] There is, but the companies that sell them are similarly scammy/scummy as TASR. Law Enforcement Associates and Stinger. The thing is, even if you believe the lawsuits won't demolish TASR (I believe they will) the heyday for TASR is over. Most every cop shop that wants tasers bought them years ago. They are hoping for foreign sales, but most foreign police forces are not shy about using deadly force like ours are here in the center of the litigious universe. |

Re: Looking again at TASR
If Taser is still a good buy it is probably not for the reason I originaly bought it. Which was that investors were overreacting to the deaths.
Immersion on the other hand, still might have some tricks up their sleave. |
