Re: $600 NL: Deep Stacks, AKs versus H@llinggol
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I don't think any of us can honestly say we always have a plan 1 or 2 streets ahead... it's easy to say I should have had a plan in retrospect. [/ QUOTE ] this seems really bad, I'm not trying to make myself look good, but I always have a plan from flop/river. [/ QUOTE ] Even 12 tabling though (I had 8 up)? But I'm saying sometimes the the turn or river comes up differently than we expect and our plan has to change. I get what your saying though, you have a plan for when it's a blank versus scare card, etc. EDIT: It's not like I'm completely clueless on the river. It's just that I wasn't thinking along the terms of I'm going for a double barrel bluff here. |

Re: $600 NL: Deep Stacks, AKs versus H@llinggol
IMO its more important to have a solid plan 12 tabling, and yea I might make a standard river valuebet not 100% sure if im calling a C/R.

I'm trying to make it look like I've got QQ+ playing for pot control. [/ QUOTE ] Why would you be playing for pot control with QQ+ here? |

WPR101: I usually don't have plans when I play. I'm a feel player. =) So I'm guessing he called, what's the river?

if you are trying to bluff why not do it when it makes sense, on the flop?

[/ QUOTE ] If you want him to believe you have QQ+ chance, a better line is to bet the flop..? Most of time you should be betting the flop so why would you want to convince him that you have QQ+ by taking the less popular alternate line? Still not sure what I would do on a lot of rivers, if called on the turn. |

its not good to make this play w/o having a plan imo. id just fire flop. also i doubt he thinks you would check flop here with QQ+ for pot control vs someone who is playing very smartLAG [/ QUOTE ] |
