wasn't this the show where he tried to become a male model and they used clips on it for "Handsome Boy Modeling School" (the rap album)?

[/ QUOTE ]yeah! The name "Handsome Boy Modeling School" was a tribute to the show in the first place.

I loved this show when I was, like, eight.

Yea. A few weeks ago I popped in my roommate's DVD and watched an episode and the show is unbelievably bad. The laugh track is unbearable, so much so that there's an option to turn it off.

For all I know it rules! Though you certainly seem to think that isn't so.

I don't know from rap, but yeah the Handsome Boy Modeling School was one of the shows. Very funny "Fame" like crying breakdown when he is asked to show his chest. Really funny episode all around.

Great great fun. Generally I liked the parts without Brian Doyle Murray, but there was a funny scene in one of the shows where Chris is taken hostage, and Brian Doyle Murray, ex-cop, walks outside the house where Chris is being held in his usual bathrobe, and asks one of the swat snipers if he can try to shoot the kidnapper, just for old times' sake. He gets the guy's rifle, and when the kidnapper comes out with a pistol to Chris's head, tries to take down the kidnapper but shoots Chris square in the chest. Doesn't seem too bothered about it, so tries several more times, each time shooting Chris. Finally gives a bemused look at the rifle and chuckles at the cops, and says something like, "Wow, I guess you really have to keep up on your practice with these things."

I loved this show. The interactions with his parents were great; dad so openly contemptuous of his son, mom, putting a maniacally chipper exterior up to conceal her own contempt. It was the perfect child and the perfect childhood story.

Lots of very, very funny moments. Chris has very sharp timing, no shame, and a vicious and sometimes cruel sense of humor.

I'd like to put in a good word for the rockin' R.E.M. theme song, to which I shamelessly got down.

Yeah, I [censored] love this show. And it's still funny.

"Zoo Animals on Wheels" is probably my favorite episode.
