With all that being said, I personally think that this is a good book that contains much valuable and at times original information. For example I think that the idea of developing the PP/D image/style as opposed to just playing as a TAG carries much merit. I am primarily a B&M SLNLHL player, and I often find that establishing a similar image at my table translates into much additional profit by making it somewhat easier to execute certain plays and moves. Also, as someone else pointed the ranking of cards based on their “playability” not “show down” value is quite beneficial. We NLHL players know or at least should know how the value of your hole cards depends on how you can play them based on the situation, which in itself is always in a constant state of flux…

I'm sorry you don't like the style, alpha.

But I'm glad you like the content.
Thank you for your contribution.

Sam:

That's just my opinion about the style, so if the majority favors your presentation, don't worry about my comments and just catter to the market demand. At the end of the day the ultimate judge is the consumer, and if people are buying your book, who cares... But at least I got you to think about and consider my point, so maybe your next book will be a bit different. Anywho, good work and perhaps I'll see you soon at the tables! Happy playing,

i actually like the style and the referring to "we"..but then iam only in page 30 something.

As for the copies at Amazon uk, i got mine from them and it is fine. I think Sam in an earlier thread confirmed that the stock available in the UK is all from the corrected printings

I don't mind the "we". For me, it helps set up the attitude that the book wants the player to have. As if you are part of a club, so to speak.

Sam,

I really enjoyed the book (especially the opening apology) and feel you have a lot to offer. Do you take coaching positions? If so, is there room for one more?

The author was an on-line, internet 6-max specialist during his days in Vegas back in the 60's.

But it was called DARPnet back then, and everyone played via IRC...
