Re: theory/ethics- being an @sshole
There's too many douchebags in the world as it is, especially in this game. Can't we all just enjoy a nice game of poker for christs sake?

Re: theory/ethics- being an @sshole
Also, having some sort of idea of HOW they tilt, and having a gameplan for how you're going to adjust can make a big difference.

Re: theory/ethics- being an @sshole
[ QUOTE ]
That said, the best guys to do it against are probably guys who already bluff too much. [/ QUOTE ] Somewhat opposite to this, against LP's or overly ABC-tags, I have found that the "lets all enjoy a nice game of poker" is a pretty useful psychological strategy, as it tends to make people just play purely for value. E.g. people who don't bluff enough are bluffing even less. |

Re: theory/ethics- being an @sshole
I figure that the different ways that people tilt/how to adjust is fairly common knowledge, although could certainly stimulate some interesting conversation.
If you think he'll go more manic, tighten up a bit pre, value big cards more than suited connectors and whatnot, check to him a lot, etc. |

Oh, and if you can tilt a rock, that's always fun, too.
Lots of rocks tilt hard. |

Re: theory/ethics- being an @sshole
This is such a pathetic strategy, some people actually play the game because they enjoy it.

Re: theory/ethics- being an @sshole
I agree with Baluga's idea, people are here to take each other's money, If it involves being an a-hole that's fine. Never bothers me when people talk trash, but I make sure I note that they think I'll try and bluff them.
Although if everyone was an a-hole to each other, then it might get annoying and deter fish. Although in Mid and High stakes, it just antagonizes the fish to keep rebuying. |

Re: theory/ethics- being an @sshole
Thing is, if you get all hot and stuffy about bad beats, your ego is clearly greater than your logic, therefore you're never the player you could be.
