Just had the bejeebers scared out of me

Similar thing happened to me once but I live in a house and someone was knocking on the door. It was late so I thought booty call! Rushed to the door and whipped it open and it was a skunk with a mayonnaise jar stuck on its head. It could not see where it was going. I did not get sprayed but it got the heart going!

Funny, same thing happened to me about an hour ago. I hear a noise at the front door. So, unlike the OP, I do the manly thing and grab my trusty KA-BAR and go downstairs to investigate. Turns out it was just a Chinese take-out menu that had been slid under my door.

Reminds me of the time I was up late at night in my upstairs apartment and heard some noise outside. I peer out the window blinds and see some large thuggish looking guy out on my balcony.

So I went and got my Glock 21, held it next to the door, pulled the slide back and let it slam home. Looked out the blinds again and mister thug is hustling it double time down the stairs.

Weird, just last week it was 2 AM and I heard some weird noise coming from the basement door. Well it was dark out, but I grabbed my slingshot (nice try bandits LOL) and opened the door anyway

Turns out some of the neighborhood kids were disrespecting my shrubbery, so I had to sling some pellets at them

Please though, 'a scratching at the door!" Just open the damn door. If someone is trying to break in they will most likely run. And what are the chances someone is trying to break in anyways. Mancard revoked for at least 10 years. You might have to join the marines or something to get it back.
