I hear that "The French Connection" is best all time, (coicidence that Ronin is filmed in France?) and one of first two Bourne movies has an excellent one.

The French Connection car chase scene took place in Brooklyn/Queens. I grew up where they filmed the car chase scene. Ridgewood Queens New York.

Ronin, ftw.

Also, the director of Ronin, John Frankenheimer, also directed the French Connection II.

Another great chase scene (well, more of a chase movie), is The Sugarland Express, but it 's not as good as Bullitt or Ronin.

Chase scenes built on CGI, like anything Matrix-like, don't count, sorry.

[/ QUOTE ]why? no matter what you thought about the matrix movies, you have to admit the highway scenes were sweet. and its not even like the majority of the scene was CGI

The French Connection supposedly has the best chase sequence, but i was underwhelmed. Ronin's chase is far superior.

The Transporter 1 has a couple awesome chase scenes, too.

Here is Ronin's.

I think this is The Transporters unedited.

Here Is The Bourne Identity's

And Here is The French Connection chase.

Not necessarily the best scenes but some of my favorite ones are from Smokey & The Bandit

The Hidden opens with a fantastic, violent car chase.
