So you meant to buy a piece of him, he thought you did, and you believe that he would have paid you if he cashed. So the only piece missing was that you didn't hear the confirmation of the deal, but you firmly believe that you would have been paid. I don't see what the problem is, or why you wouldn't pay him.

Questions like this are so real life situation dependment, I am not sure what you hope to hear from a random internet board.
How close are you with friend #1? Have you made alot of money of him in the past? Is he a good investment you want to keep making? You mentioned you had 5% of him. What is the point of this? It is such a small amount of money, that it probably pales in comparison to keeping your friendship healthy. I think you should be responsible for the 5%. You wanted a piece of him and you got it. Dont be cheap. |
