Sorry to see your shot didn't go well. As for cheering you up /convincing you, that can be done in one of two ways or both. Show that you are still very fortunate and possess a lot to live for, and/or that others are much worse off.

In the first category, since I presume you took a prudent shot and still have a decent roll to go with your poker playing ability, is that you are still alive roll-wise to grind it back up and hopefully be more successful the next time you take a shot.

In the second category, you could be married to Ed Miller's wife and have the diminished financial and intellectual and psychological sanity prospects that go with same but you aren't.

So I think that's two solid reasons to keep living.
