Re: Hypothetical TT: Getting 3bet IP
i fold preflop...
u arent really gettin set odds and i dont think it will b possible to play profitably post flop either. u r gonna often hit an over card and then even when u have an over pair it is impossible to play it profitably imo. fold and move on. i would call if i was CO or BTN but not utg. i would call with AK (and sometimes 4bet or shove or w/e) QJ is a turbo fold and not even close 98 is a fold too. MAYBE call with 76s if im in a maniac mode and wanna play some fun pots and am lookin to make some moves n stuff. |

Re: Hypothetical TT: Getting 3bet IP
Are you saying b/c he knows we have a stronger hand overall?
UTG or OTB we are still in position against BB. |

Re: Hypothetical TT: Getting 3bet IP
If we open UTG, he has to figure we have a hand so he is less likely to 3 bet unless he has a very strong hand as well. If we open from the CO or BTN he wont give us as much respect because our range is, or at least should be much wider.

I probably pitch because I just dont see many people double barreling air. I would need to know villain is at least semi capable of this before I start putting my stack in with second pair. [/ QUOTE ] |
