Probably. I just use it for less calories and cholesterol.

I use the good2cu approach to purchasing olive oil.

1) Deride some heifer nearby for being obese.
2) Look for the most expensive bottle.
3) ?????????
4) Profit.

You realize that the term "extra light" has nothing to do with calories, right? Extra Virgin and Extra Light will have the same amount of calories and fat. Extra Light will have a higher smoke point and a much milder flavor though. Cholesterol is a non issue with both as well.
