Re: How much are sports worth to you
Can you play sports? If so the answer for me is like $400,000.

Re: How much are sports worth to you
I enjoy other things and I've never been a jock, but it would take a lot. When I think of things I'd like to do if I had tons of money and no responsibilities, going to see baseball games all over the country is pretty high on the list. Sports are a lot of fun, fantasy sports augment the enjoyment... it would have to be a lot, and I'd probably be less happy utterly rich without being able to watch anything qualifying as a sport than I am relatively poor but rooting for the Mets, etc.

Re: How much are sports worth to you
I liked watching sports a lot more when I was younger. I would give up watching pro or college sports for like $20k right now, maybe less. Hard to put a price on it if you include watching my kids play.

$10M at least. [/ QUOTE ] This just seems absurd. I'm a huge NFL, college football and college basketball fan and love watching games and highlights and stuff, but I'm pretty sure I'd part with them for like $100k. I could entertain myself in plenty of other ways with that money. |

Re: How much are sports worth to you
No amount of money.
If sports were just something I watched by myself at home, then I'd probably be able to put a dollar amount on this. It would be very high. But sports are such a big part of my relationship with my dad and my friends that I can't ever imagine giving them up. I don't think I'd keep in touch with some of my old friends nearly as well, if we didn't always call each other and talk about sports. Some of my favorite memories of my life are going on a road trip with my friend where we went to a bunch of NBA games in different cities, and of course celebrating the Colts' Super Bowl win with my buddies back in February. These experiences are not for sale. |

I don't see any point in having lots of money anyway, if you're not allowed to spend it on the things that matter to you. |

Re: How much are sports worth to you
I don't think I'd ever be able to give it up, no matter the price. And if I did, it would be absurdly high, like at least 50 million and even then I'm not sure, and I'm being 100% serious.

So I'd say about $100,000 would fit the bill |
