Wow. That's some serious ownage. Especially, [ QUOTE ]
At what point does a complex nerve center stop being fluffed by the holy spirit and operate purely under natural laws?

[/ QUOTE ]

"Fluffed." I like that word. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

On a similar note, how can God be both omniscient and omnipotent at the same time. If he knows what will happen with certainty, then he must not have the power to change it. If he does have the power to change it, then he doesn't know what's gonna happen with certainty.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's ridiculous. It's one thing to have the power to change it, and another one to actually want to change it. Seriously if you want to attack the idea of God there are much better angles...

The only possibility for freedom and human responsibility is if God exists.

[/ QUOTE ]

Correct!

The only possibility for a mystical power to exist, is if another mystical power created it!

Which is (partially) why people make up and then go on to believe this type of nonsense.

At whatever point we need it to! Isn't that the whole point of making up a god?

Oh, by the way, I think there's strong evidence for determinism, but even if the universe isn't deterministic (such as because of elements of true randomness involved), that still doesn't give you free will.

(and here we go with another free will thread... lol. Well I'm just doing this mostly because I don't know your position on the subject)
