Re: 10/20 Monster Draw
That board is getting worse and worse for any overpair. If he does have a hand like AA and does CRAI, we still have probably 20 outs. If he has a big flush draw, then we just took the lead and want to get money into the pot.
I think betting $750 or $800 and calling a push is the best plan. Pushing is almost as good. The odds of him paying us on the river if he has an overpair and we improve are very remote. All of the value from this hand should come from getting our chips in on the turn. |

Shoving>checking>betting. No? [/ QUOTE ] I think it's gotta be Shoving>Betting>checking. Even if he has an overpair, we have 20 outs and are flipping coins with one card to come. Unless he's already got a straight, set or 2 pair (really unlikely) then we want money going into the pot here. We have HUGE equity over his range with the money already in the pot and we still have FE against many hands that currently beat us. I think checking is by far the worst option here. |

You really need a read on someone that they'll fold JJ/QQ before firing is preferable to checking. [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: 10/20 Monster Draw
Nobody bets 100 here on the flop with an overpair, so we can somewhat safely assume villain does not have a strong overpair.

Re: 10/20 Monster Draw
shoving seems better than bet/calling If you shove you might be able to push him off the 8 too. I think hes more likely to c/r all in on turn with the 8 than he is to check/ call his whole stack. which is why checking behind on turn might be the 2nd best option
Shoving>checking>bet/calling |

Re: 10/20 Monster Draw
I'm checking here, but betting is fine. I like a standard bet greater than a push.
