Re: AJs hitting TP on river.
You have to call that river. You are good enough of the time to make that a profitable call. Besides, considering how weak you played the turn he probably thinks you are bluffing.

Re: AJs hitting TP on river.
As the others have already said, you have to call the river for this prize. I have seen river minraise stuff enough with [censored] to make this a profitable call.

Re: AJs hitting TP on river.
I dunno, I think the river could be a fold.
Dbitel theorem: a raise on the river is always the nuts. You so so seldomly see worse than AJ on the river here, whereas donks love to play houses like this. |

Re: AJs hitting TP on river.
even if you think he may have a FH youre getting a great price to find out. YOu may save/make money against this player later with this info

Dbitel theorem: a raise on the river is always the nuts. [/ QUOTE ] This theorem sucks. You guys are unbelievable nits to suggest folding this. We have top pair with a decent kicker in a HU pot and we're getting a great price to call. Our focus should be to get to showdown cheaply, not to make some insanely thin hero folds. |

I like the turn check. I bet a bit more on the river. Like 13-14. Call the riv raise, you only need to be good 17%. [/ QUOTE ] Why do you like a turn check? Isn't this board ideal for a 2nd barrel or do we need more info on villain before 2nd barreling? |

Re: AJs hitting TP on river.
I dont like to double barrel unknowns. People usually call down with PP's pretty lightly on paired boards.

[/ QUOTE ] No this is far from an ideal situation to 2nd barrel, that 2 on the turn didn't change things much so if he thought he was ahead on the flop he's not likely to have changed his mind by the turn. Admittedly there's quite a lot weak players peeling this flop with low PPs or even AT+ with the intention of folding the turn, but without a read I think we're too likely to get called on this turn to 2nd barrel vs an unknown. |
