When someone 1 or 2-outers me, and if it's a fish, I often say nh and try to do that in a sincere way. I try to make him feel comfortable to keep playing at the table, so that I have the opportunity to take my money back.
If that annoys regulars at the same time, well, that's a bonus. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I do the same versus fish. Good advice for people who would otherwise be tempted to berate them... can't imagine why it would annoy regulars.

It's a sophisticated way to reinforce bad play from your opponents. If you say "nh" after someone sucks out on you, they are more likely to play badly in the future. On the contrary, if you say nothing, they will probably tighten up and play much better.

Indeed, I see this way more often, and THAT annoys me to no end. Not the way people say it after they get sucked out on or when they suck out.
