Default Re: Salaried job for 1-2 years with benefits - any suggestions?

I graduated with a biology degree last year and now work in a lab at a public university as a research scientist. $35k for 75% time, plus medical/dental and gym membership. I'd look into research stuff is what I'm saying, perhaps at a big U near you?

[ QUOTE ]
I would like a job that has benefits but won't rope me into a contract any longer than a year contract.

[/ QUOTE ]

unless you have a job with the army, the relationship between you and your employer is "employment at will" meaning you can quit or be fired at any time, regardless of contract. of course, some jobs have penalties for quitting to soon (e.g. 401(k) not vested).
