He could be floating with all kinds of crap. He folds most of those to a turn bet. He also calls/raises with a lot of stuff that beat us.

However, if he is floating he is usually betting this turn on a non-threatening board. Most of that range we beat.

Also, if the turn goes check, check, we can squeeze value from weak pairs that put us on AK that would have folded to a turn bet.

Seems to me that betting the turn loses the most when behind and wins the least when ahead.
