I see them every day. A couple of weeks ago I saw a 10 handed 2-6 game where the big blind got a walk 7 hands in a row. This is what happens when a casino gives away free hotel rooms for poker play.

there is one semi-regular in the fw 20/40. out of like 1k+ hrs of live play that's the only one I've seen.

I agree. Recently (last 6 months) I would characterize live tourny players as too tight and live cash game players as too loose.

Although I guess live cash game players have always been too loose (at least in the small stakes games I play in).

Depends if you mean the typical crabby dayshift retiree or the live straddle in limit hold'em with the rubber bands around it.

The rock player has changed-their strategy is somewhat less effective than it was before, so they try to make up for it by being grouchier than before. Someone remind me to kick them all in the nuts first and sort 'em out later.

Here in vegas other types of rocks are not seen much outside of the occasional middle limit hold'em game.

I have a rock who sits the $4-$8 gam deal at least 5 days a week. I'm stillazed that the other regulars actually call when he bets.

Randy, they were probably locals that wandered over from another joint that didn't have their 2-6 game going quite yet

30/60 at the B - Ive never encountered a rock that I can recall.

[/ QUOTE ]

The only one that I ever saw was made out of 6 chips and had a rubber band tied around it.
