Chelsea Piers has soccer leagues, but they are pretty expensive.

You might find pickup games in Central Park (northern part of park), otherwise the only pickup games I've ever found were in Queens/Brooklyn.

If you like good restaurants it's definitely easier to get reservations during the summer, as NYC empties out to the beach every weekend.

Near Bryant Park... within 10 streets hopefully

[/ QUOTE ]

Where, exactly, are you working?

[/ QUOTE ]

Let's see within a few blocks of bryant - Bear, Lehman, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, citi, BoA.... Did I get it yet?

[/ QUOTE ]

Not really. The two Morgans, Lehman, and Bear wouldn't classify themselves as near Bryant Park.

Its very unlikely that you are going to find someplace within that area. I would give you advice on where to live, but I'm not sure where the college kids hang out these days.

Question for the OP. Is it a paid internship? I'm going to school now for accounting (not sure what kind yet) and was looking to get an internship in about 18 months. I don't see how I could do it though without quitting my full-time job. Are paid internships common?

Murray Hill is the outer boundary of 10 blocks. And if he likes Long Island hell he might have a good time there.

If near = 10 blocks... they all are.

What part of "would not classify themselves" is difficult to understand?

In NYC, no one classifies themself as near anything unless it is a block or two at most away. Besides where did it say the firm was classifying itself as anything? OP said:

Ha nice image...

I should've said.. within 10 streets, on or beside 5th avenue...

Im gonna be working around Bryant Park.. and I wanna be within walking distance...

[/ QUOTE ]

Anyway this is stupid. You win. I am sure they would not "classify themselves as being near Bryant Park"

Hurray!

A classic "I know New York better that my fellow New Yorker does" pissing contest!
