I would bet the turn and probably the river for value too if he just calls. People never fold AK on rag boards HU these days. If he has an overpair, then he misplayed his hand by not 3betting the flop. If he has AK you are getting at least one more bet out of him.

Villain 3-bet pf and b/c this ragged board. Why do you put him on 8x or 7x or a SD?

[/ QUOTE ]

I wouldn't, and that why I think the turn is an easy bet.

I usually check behind turn but I figured he has 4 outs a lot so giving out a free card isnt that terrible and I save myself the agony of getting c/r'ed

Am I the only one who doesn't agonize over a check-raise when I hold a super-hidden hand that not only may be best, but has 17 outs including the super-duper-sexy backdoor flush?

Are you saying that you do or don't agonize? If you don't really mind getting CR then I 100% agree, though C/R makes river play trickier, as aside from spiking trips/two pair any card that 'helps' me hit a possible PF 3-betting hand that could conceivably play this way.

I don't agonize. Our hand is invisible and we have position.

I love these spots. We're only a 60/40 dog to AA here and if we hit, we get in a raise.

oink,
looking at it from villain's perspective:
you raised the flop after I'm marked with a very tight range. I just called, which looks like I don't have much. Then the card that completes every single flop draw turns. Now you check.

Conclusion: You are probably a NL fish and I'm still not putting in another bet with ak UI.

Anyhow there are some A9/AT/KT/55 hands that you'd like to charge to draw and who knows he might've picked up a FD or something too.

Yeah, checking gives overs infinite odds. Also you get value from AK, AQ, which would definitely call a turn bet.
