Re: QQ Preflop
OK so. Given that it's a 1.25 trny I think villain's tight range is TT+ and AQ+. PokerStove gives you QQ 55% equity against that range and that's a tightish range. So get it in, never think twice about it, and lol @ donks

Re: QQ Preflop
[ QUOTE ]
Doyle Brunson was also talking of a cash game with more then 200bb behind him and 100K in cash on the table playing against the best in the world. Believe me he is 100% pushing here. [/ QUOTE ] This is just wrong. If it is true then Doyle is one of the worse deep stack poker players ever. There is no way that shoving QQ here with 200BB stacks in the most high stakes cash game in the world is anywhere near correct. I'm pretty sure it isn't even correct in 10NL at 200BBs deep. But it doesn't really matter to the OP b/c he is a playing in a tournament where ranges are by far wider. Beyond that, he is playing in a $1 MTT where ranges are even wider still. |

Re: QQ Preflop
I believe he was saying that Doyle wouldn't shove QQ preflop with deep 200bb stacks in a cash game, but would definitely shove in this tournament situation.
As for the hand, shove and shove fast. |

Re: QQ Preflop
If you second guess yourself with QQ then what would you 3bet with? Given the format of the tournament and low levels I would also put villain on a wider range of hands would insta shove quickly. It's funny how these other donkeys at the table chastise you for pushing all-in with the best hand and having AK get a little lucky to outdraw you. This may be my first post here but this sounds like an easy shove decision IMO. Don't get too worried about single hand results and focus on your overall play, you made a good play with the better hand and got outdrawn. There's nothing wrong with that, right? |
