pretty standard ruling
I'd prefer the last aggressor had to show, and that a check is not considered aggressive action, but that's not how it works most places. The floor was correct. Don't raise with **** if you're afraid to show down trash.

Re: This ruling can\'t be right, can it??
this ruling is right. no doubt about it. If no action on the river, the showing starts from sb and go clockwise. period.

Re: This ruling can\'t be right, can it??
Why is there so much confusion over this rule? Who shows first in this situation varies by location. The standard is by far and away that _No action on river = SB shows first_, but last aggressive action on previous streets isn't unheard of.
I have played all over the country. While most rooms start with the small blind and move left, last aggro action is out there. See pokerstars vs fulltilt. |

Re: pretty standard ruling
just always flip over your hand and leave it in front of your chips at showdown. Don't wait, don't say anything, don't read out the board. Just flip it and let the dealer do their job.

Re: pretty standard ruling
reno,
You sound like an annoying nit. Just flip your hand over. If you don't want to do that, say "small pair" and if he says it's good or doesn't say anything, flip it over. Worrying about the slight nuances of your image and the impact one shown down hand will have on it in a 1-2NL game is ridiculous. |

Re: pretty standard ruling
Raising preflop in live 1/2 NL with 62s is probably an issue worthy of more thought than the juvenile stupidity over "who shows first". Honestly, just turn the goddamn hand over and move on, petty stuff like people not wanting to turn over trash irritates the life out of me live.

Re: pretty standard ruling
Someone getting nitty over showing cards that they are obligated to show (player only tables the ace at showdown, etc) are the only time that I rip on someone at the table.
If you are concerned about image, I suggest not playing 62 - suited or unsuited. If you do get stuck showing it down, be funny about it...people will remember the humor and not the cards. |
