Re: 200NL 2Pair vs Below Avg Player
yes another point to be made. dont call the turn unless you are prepared to call atleast half the pot on the river.

Re: 200NL 2Pair vs Below Avg Player
preflop is fine imo because BB and SB fold to steals a ton and this idiot posted for some reason. anyways, preflop isnt the issue here.
nation, do you really think the turn is a fold getting those odds against this player? i think you misread the aggression. his postflop agression is 2, not 0.2 |

Re: 200NL 2Pair vs Below Avg Player
easy fold on the turn against 90% of villains . He'd have to ba a lot more aggressive than 2 to make his range wide enough that a call on the turn would be right. I explained exactly why above - even though you have 2 pair, it is essentially a bluff-catcher in this situation.

Re: 200NL 2Pair vs Below Avg Player
GS,
I agree that its basically a bluff catcher or a "extremeley overvalued hand" catcher. However, what are you putting him on that plays this way and beats me? AQ and A2 I should have heard from on the flop, sets as well, pretty strange and illogical to take his line with a hand that beats me (except for A4 I guess) |

if the donkeys were always logical it would sure make hands easier to play. and money harder to make.

Re: 200NL 2Pair vs Below Avg Player
I really dislike raising preflop here. Even without the limper I don't see much reason to raise (unless the blinds are extremely tight). When UTG limps I think you are just throwing money away most of the time. Check this flop, if you bet and are called check turn. As played I think that you can call the raise and call a bet of less than 2/3 pot on the river (in SSNL and below). I think you get shown a big ace more than you'd expect here.

Re: 200NL 2Pair vs Below Avg Player
What's with the pf raise?
Players like this love to play any A. I'm laying this on the river np. His stats don't indicate he's aggressive and he's shown a lot of aggression on the turn and river. A2, A4, AT are all possibilities. I don't think I can call river unless he is just a maniac donkey. |

fold preflop. fold turn in my opinion as played. yes you're getting 4-1 but its not good enough to improve. he's SO passive that theres very little chance he's playing tricky with a worse hand. in all likelihood you are in very very bad shape. river is a pretty clear fold. [/ QUOTE ] Spot on. Why are you isolating an UTG limper with Q4o? |
