Default Re: (60) QQ overpair, can anyone find a fold here?

Just push this one and pray that he has TT/JJ. Its actually not for your tournament live. I had a similar situation, but with jacks in your position. Everybody told me to stack off...and i did, but thats an other topic...

And GKA is right. Which flop do you actually wanna see with QQ? I mean, playing for set value is pretty nitty...

Just avoid that [censored] spot and reraise/shove?! preflop.

I disagree with GKA and Shillx notion that calling preflop means you have to stack off here. There are villians who's preflop range I'm slightly ahead of, but who c-betting range into a 4way pot is crushing me.

I'm obviously not playing QQ for set value here and usually will stack off with QQ overpair on this board.

But something about this bet just threw off major alarm bells in my head.

how tight is he PF? i would assume TT+,AQ+ for most regs here, so i would push PF,esp since he is short. i would raise this flop. but then again you say he is tight. how much tigher than TT,AQ??

Flat calling would be a BIG, BIG Mistake, since a FD could call you here...What do you wanna achieve here by flat-calling? Slowing UTG down?! No way....he is pretty comitted whith whatever he has...
Just push and pray...there is really no other way.
About your "alarm bells"... I know that feeling, but i can`t see you folding

I don't have a crystal clear read on him. But as a multitabler who I play against often, and who has a fairly low preflop raise % (8), I'd imagine that range is fairly accurate.

clearly I can survive a loss here if he has me beat, but thats not really the point I'm getting at.

I feel that SNG play for me has been reduced to such a simplistic formulatic approach that playing anything but my own cards has become =EV. Here was a situation where in my opinion there is a fairly good chance that I'm dominated but still everyone is advocating a push.

I never got to see his hand and I ended up folding, not that it matters, but I still think that its a very marginal call, given my read.

thats tough. given his PFR% i like your pf call. i would assume he has you beat given his bet (although its oddly small...). idk tough spot. i can see a fold against him though, plus there is another big stack to act

yep, flat call flop. But mostly because you and SB have 3k stacks and you'd like to see him fold and not lose it all to two pair/trips.

If TT/JJ are in his range, I'd push. If not, I'd fold. He could also be doing this with 99, which definitely would make for a push. I haven't played with him in a while so I can't remember what his range would normally be.
