i dont understand why there are two xxxxx's when one is irrelevant to the hand. is this some zeejustin joke?

if im reading it right though, and it folded to shaun in the SB, and he shoved, and i had like 8.5BBs in the BB, i am calling with K7s.

djk,
If Shaun Deeb knows who you are there are too many -EV hands in that range. If not that is fine probably.

[/ QUOTE ]

agreed in that case youd have to tighten up a bit, but i assumed since charder xed out the name that shaun didnt know who BB was. also he said BB was tight, which widens shaun's range.

and gp-- yes! if i did the math right, we're gettin like 1.3:1 on the call, meaning we need a little more than 43% equity to breakeven. against a range of a little more than 70%, all those hands have at least a little more than 43% equity.

i observed the hand and i x'ed my name out, luckchewy was the hero. Luckychewy called and sucked out on Shauns AT, and told chewy that his call wasn't Ev+, and i told shaun he was crazy and that it was an insta call.

well it would have been helpful to say villain was luckychewy since shaun knows chewy. still shaun u can't be serious? you're def pushing a huge range here even though chewy knows you will be pushing a lot. k7s such an easy call.

to show the absurdity of saying k7s isnt +ev, here's an example.

600 in antes + 800 BB and then shaun puts in 7720 to put chewy all in, making 9120 in pot and chewy has to call his remaining 6920. 9120/6920=1.31792, meaning chewy needs 43.1421% equity vs shaun's range to breakeven.

If shaun were pushing an unrealistically tight range of 55+,A2s+,K4s+,Q6s+,J7s+,T7s+,98s,A5o+,K8o+,Q9o+,J9 o+,T9o

K7s would have 43.511% equity, making the call +cEV vs that absurd range.

Now if we assume a little more realistic range (still too tight tho imo) of 50% of hands, K7s has 48.739% !

interesting observation: assuming i did my math right, shaun could tell chewy he is shoving any 2 and shoving would still be +cEv.

so if chewy knew shaun was shoving 100%, chewy would call

22+,A2s+,K2s+,Q2s+,J2s+,T2s+,93s+,85s+,75s+,A2o+,K 2o+,Q2o+,J2o+,T4o+,96o+,86o+

which is 72.2% of hands.

So .278 * (600 + 400 + 800)= +500.4

.722 * . 45550 * (600 + 400 + 7820 - 100)= +2867.76

.722 * .54450 * -(7820 - 100 - 400)=-2877.7

added up equals +490.451

from a theoretical standpoint this is an extremely simple call. In practice it depends.
