Re: Players with a higher HoF probability than Nash
[ QUOTE ]
wow Vince Carter > John Stockton was pretty shocking [/ QUOTE ] I think that's because the formula is based on an objective interpretation of numbers, whereas we know subjectively that John Stockton is 100% guaranteed to make the hall of fame because we know the voters will vote for him without doing this calculation first. |

Re: Players with a higher HoF probability than Nash
Love how they list 296 players each with a ranking of 0, then actually sorting them by rankings. Nice to know that Jim McIlvane is slightly more likely to be an HOFer than Manute Bol.

Re: Players with a higher HoF probability than Nash
Too many obvious problems here. Steve Nash has been very, very good the last 3 or 4 years. His career as a whole doesn't put him near the top of this list, but there is no way I rank him behind most of the current/recent players ahead of him.
Sam Cassell: Good player, nice 3rd option. Not an MVP or HOF type player. Glen Robinson: Completely overrated. Scorer who brings nothing else to a team. Antoine Walker: You have to be kidding. Stephon Marbury: Another product of David Stern's hype machine. Gilbert Arenas: Another scorer who has yet to win big in the league. Granted, he hasn't been on many good teams, but still... Grant Hill: An example of what could have been. Injuries robbed him of too much to be this highly considered. Most of the others ahead of Nash I could at least understand, even if I didn't agree with a few of them. I'd at least consider them equal to Nash-status. |

Dikembe deserves a lot better than 1.46% (#277). 2nd all-time in blocks! |

Re: Players with a higher HoF probability than Nash
Reggie's not a lock. It was a highly debated topic when he retired. I think he'll probably get in, and I agree with that decision.
