Re: Longest losing/breakeven stretch?
[ QUOTE ]
this has been my thoughts. If i read all those books to a dog and tried to teach a dog to play perfect poker. i could only get so far. if i took someone who was retarded and tried to teach them poker, no matter what i did, i could only get them so far. no matter how much i teach one of my friends working at mcondalds about poker, they'd never have an edge over most of the winners on this board. and i have to face the assumption that no matter what i do, there is a ceiling to how good i can be. when i hit it (if i havn't already) it's only a matter of time before everyone else catches up or goes broke. even if people don't catch up, how much money i can make is no longer in my hands, but in the hands of the market and how fishy the games are. [/ QUOTE ] This is a very refreshing attitude to hear. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think you have to forget what has happened to you and start afresh now. Multitable 1/2 with rakeback and grind out say $40 an hour. Give it 10,000 hands. |

Re: Longest losing/breakeven stretch?
i don't understand how you can get to 5/10NL and 30/60 in 200k hands. did you ever actually beat the games? or did you just keep getting lucky and moving up?

Re: Longest losing/breakeven stretch?
i'm in the red lifetime at limit ~400k hands.
breakdown is something like this: i win for my first 150k hands at fullring using lee jones strategy, then switch to 6-max and get killed the next 250k hands with no strategy. I've worked and improved on my sh limit game a lot though and feel i have played fairly well my last 100k hands. but when you have to go through stretches like these every 8k hands, you can't do much. |

Re: Longest losing/breakeven stretch?
if over 400k hands and you cant pick up your game and improve/start winning.
isn't it time to start thinking if poker is really working out for you? |

Re: Longest losing/breakeven stretch?
I'm in the same boat, I was running 5 figures a month over most of summer/september and since then it's been break even/slightly down. It feels like my entire game has changed and I can't remember what it used to be, it's a paradigm boys.
