[ QUOTE ]
I'm appalled that people think this is not only news-worthy, but think it's so bad that it gets posted on every message board I read.

[censored] you all. Get your [censored] heads out of your asses.

[/ QUOTE ]
Perhaps it's because it's appalling and not your every day news?

When a human is murdered, it's not like it's not upsetting, but it's more common in the news. Seeing a dog not only get murdered, but get murdered in such a heinous manner, is just disgusting.

Furthermore, humans have a bit more tendency to fear unknown people just because of the news. Here is a dog that probably put its trust in humans because of its (assumed) kind owners, only to have something that it put its trust into turn around and lop its head off.

This is one of the most horrible things i've read.

For some reason, i can stomach acts of evil committed to humans and most animals (that's 'stomach', not 'approve of', or 'enjoy reading about'). But when it comes to dogs, that leaves me unhappy for the rest of the day.

I can't stand dogs getting killed in films as well. I.e. The Lost World or Downfall

No way that girl is 17.

Anyway, i actually loled at "The box had batteries on top, and a note that said "Congratulations Crystal. This side up. Batteries included."

I mean, ok, its sick as [censored], but thats some ingenius detail they went to.

I reckon the grandma did it. She probaly didnt like the dog because of the noise it made, or it overheard her plans for world domination or something.

That's just brutal.

I don't quite know why, but when people do this to house pets, it kinda makes me feel sick. Perhaps it's the defenseless nature of the housepet that makes me feel this way. Or that I have two yellow labs at my home now.

I mean, murders happen every day. You don't hear about decapitated pets, which is why this makes news.

What should be newsworthy is the 17 year old girl saying [censored] like this, "I couldn't talk to anyone. He was my dog. It was just me and him. ... I told him everything and he never shared any of my secrets."
