[ QUOTE ] or plan c - play a set the worst way possible [/ QUOTE ] Seriously, what's your plan to extract $500 from air on the flop, turn and induce $1.2K shove at the river here? I can tell you he had A9o. [/ QUOTE ] This is silly, you can't play the hand as if he had air |

He'd raise more pf to $85 -$100 with medium pp. He'd reaise with overpair after being mini-raised on the flop. I'd like to hear how you are going to read his hand, and how you are going to play each street? |

I'd start by not min-raising. If you think your read is that good on him, then you should just play every pot against him and own his soul

I cant play live poker so idk how it differs. But how the [censored] is checking behind standard here? [/ QUOTE ] What's the purpose of your river bet? Get value or induce bluff? Before you act, what do you expect from villain given his ranges? You expect a call/fold from $600 river bet? Or you expect a shove from $250 bet? If you can't get value or can't induce bluff, can't call a shove, don't bet. |

Re: $5/$10 Set River Decision (Hand reading related)
if you cant get value on this river, then you are the nittiest of nits, or live plays so much different than online that everyone is highly exploitable.
I actually think it is a combo of both tbh |

Re: $5/$10 Set River Decision (Hand reading related)
i like your thought process, you think he probably has air and you're trying to extrapulate no harm in that... except when you play something weak and lose value from a lagtard... which this guy is. the problem is he doesn't have much. he would be jamming the pot with overpairs right so you're read is pretty good and you're baiting him along, i see no problem in that. bet to induce shove if you think that's how he's playing although the ten isn't a great card since 89 just got there and you priced him in with youre minraising shenanigans. other than that its a pretty dry board so i dont mind slowplay here but given villain its meh but give read its not as meh imo.
