WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS THREAD? [ QUOTE ] even if the river was, say, an 8 of hearts, I'd probably just check behind and get a free showdown if I could. I don't think there's enough value to be guessing whether or not you'd be good, so I'd just c/f the hand. [/ QUOTE ] huh? [ QUOTE ] Villain has a draw, Q-4 or just a Q here a lot. A bet will take it down from any of these. You might even get a fold from 4-4. [/ QUOTE ] what?? [ QUOTE ] because q9 is a likely holding for him after the flop [/ QUOTE ] rly? honestly, i must be misreading something or you guys are just insane. [/ QUOTE ] what do you put villain on after check/calling the flop with 4 players on the flop? |

Villain raises preflop then check-calls top two? I guess it's a line that some might take.

Re: 100plo - when wraps go bad
With your stack I push the turn here almost everytime. Villain has raised pre-flop here and the way hes played it really screams aces or kings to me here. Its possible he has 9-10-J-Q
but to not bet the opened ended straight and top 2 on this flop with this many players in? With Aces I can see him checking this flop and possibly making a crying call if someone bet here, bad play but for some reason people hate to let go of aces. He could also have A-A-J-10 that furhter induces a call of your flop bet and another check on the turn. If he has Q-Q I dont think he slowplays this flop. He might possibly go for c/r but by just calling he misses his opportunity to get most of the money in on the flop possibly shutting out draws, so that pretty much rules out QQ. I push here and more likely than not he drops his aces. |

I push here and more likely than not he drops his aces. [/ QUOTE ] will he really drop his aces for $40 more getting 3-1 after he has already invested $30?? from his point of view its just as likely i have pushed with a wrap as 2 pair/set |

Re: 100plo - when wraps go bad
Well it depends on your read of how weak of player this guy is but if he really wanted to get all of his money in why didnt he do it on the flop? Even if he calls with aces here your wrap draw still gives you some outs. For how much money youve invested here this is a risk you got to take.
I try to play as deep as possible in omaha for this exact reason. I always rebuy to the max if I lose any money and try to build my stack up. This is an example where if you had an extra $25 it could be the difference between him dropping his aces or making the call. |

This is an example where if you had an extra $25 it could be the difference between him dropping his aces or making the call. [/ QUOTE ] its a good point and one i had considered. If i had less than say $20 i would probably have just put it in on the turn as even tho im guarenteed a call. if i could pot the turn in this instance, i could obviously do that, but i would probably chose not to pot it and instead bet around half the pot, representing a FH looking for a call. i think in these instances if i had made queens full, nines full or Quads you would bet less than the full pot as you would be betting for value i think its important to know the dynamics of a 100plo on Crypto - its full of players who are basically grinding bonus, and overall the play is very unimaginaive, as you can see by the way i played it! |
