Default OK I just almost died.

I walk my dog every night, we usually finish up around nightfall. Tonight we were out a little past dark, finishing up and within sight of my house when out of nowhere this SUV from hell is careening toward us doing about 50 in a residential area, and on the wrong side of the road.

This apparently wasn't far enough outside of the normal lane for this drunken idiot so he leaves the oncoming lane for the side of the road that I am walking on. I literally had to leap for my life, pulling desperately on Nelly's leash, headlong into a muddy ditch as the 4000 pound vehicle lurched after us, taking out the neighbor's mailbox and a huge strip of his lawn.

I recover briefly and take off after this assh0le at a full run, yelling at the top of my lungs for him to stop, fully intending to yank his demented carcass from behind the wheel and unleash some vicious assault and battery upon his person. He stops and I guess sees myself and Nelly in our headlong dash towards him and he floors it, reeling off into the night before I could even take his license plate number.

If I see any green mailbox paint on any SUVs tomorrow I am taking change out of somebody's ass. It's bad enough putting hardworking citizens like myself at risk with careless and possibly drunken locomotion but this imbecile almost killed my dog and that I do not forgive.
