Wow this is insane that every school doesn't have coed dorms, or atleast allow guys to sign in girls - I mean, wow.

I don't understand how they stop girls from coming in your dorm. I mean can't you just walk inside with them? It doesn't seem like they ould stop you as long as you can get in the building. Can someone explain this please?

At my school (St. Cloud State in MN), the dorms have door checks after 10 PM, where you need an ID to get in, or be signed in as a guest. That said, there isn't one single dorm on campus that isn't co-ed in some way.

At my former school (Concordia College in Moorhead - a Lutheran school where I went to play football for one season before I realized I didn't like it there), we did have separation, and it was damn near impossible to have girls overnight.

I went to Notre Dame, ostensibly have separated dorms, but girls stayed over all the time as long as you weren't an idiot.

I know of a few very religious schools that don't allow girls in your dorm. What most shocks me is that teenage guys actually enroll there! I mean... seriously, you're missing out on all of college at a place like that.

OK thanks. I was confused because we just swipe into the dorm with our ID and there is no one to check anything at all.
