Too easy to make a second best hand that will be expensive against these guys.

This is an easy fold. Wrong type of hand to mix it up with.

the pot is gonna be so bloated that very often he'll have the correct odds to get to the river even when he knows he is second best.

i trust the fact that you know when to continue with this hand and when not to continue

[/ QUOTE ]

The point at which you should not continue with this hand is when it's 3 bets to you preflop.

[/ QUOTE ]

ok, you go play in that game, and sit in it for say 3 hours when its this good, and tell me when its not going to cost you 2-3 bets preflop at minimum, and then mix in when you even have a decent hand that plays well multi-way.. then we can talk.

you have to get in and play hands when the game is like this, otherwise you're there to contribute blinds and cant take advantage of why you're there.

[/ QUOTE ]

KTs may play well multiway, but it plays poorly against a raise, and horribly against a 3-bet. If every pot is raised, that just means you'll have to play a lot tighter, it's not an excuse to loosen up. The hands you do play are guaranteed to be big pots, which will make up for the blinds you've given up.

Sorry, I've been back in the game today. I was OTB. There was plenty of 3 betting PF and not too much 4-betting.

For those of you that say fold, what is your range here? Are you going to play any pair? Remember this is likely to be 6 way or more action.

Calling is probably "incorrect", but its a good spot to gamboool.

I won a 3k pot(60-120) the other day in a similar spot. UTG raises(I knew he was a little weak), utg+1 3 bets, 2 cold callers behind, im in the BB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and call. UTG caps with 88. Long story short: UTG flops a set, I turn a straight and get PAID. Was my preflop call bad? Yes. Is it going to turn me into a loosing player? No. Situations like these come up only once over many thousands of hands. Its like playing one hand of blackjack for $200 once a year.

I'm sure that this is a pretty marginal situation, but it seemed like a good spot for it so I said "Gambool" and called. Weakie cold caller announces "Wow! Barry just called 3-bets cold, which now stuns the table. Both blinds called and we went off the the flop 7 ways and 21SB's.

Flop was Q high w/ 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]'s

The 2 bettor, bets, 3-better calls as does the weakie and the calling station, I pop it and everybody calls. Something like 35SB's

Turn is a blank, checked to weakie who bets, calling station gives up and folds, I call, both blinds call, 2 bettor folds, 3-bettor calls. Something like 22BB's in the pot.

River is 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], BB leads, 3-bettor folds, weakie says "Pot's too big and calls, I pop it, SB says, my 2 pair NG, BB thinks a bit and calls saying "Nut flush good", weakie gives up and folds saying she had AQ.

It takes me about 4 hands, which I win 2 of for me to stack the 2+ racks worth of chips.

It's fun to sometimes Gambool!

Did you remember to kick SB in the nuts after you were finished stacking his chips?
