I think you should fold it. You're an utg raiser and a 22/12 is reraising you so he prob has something pretty good. Sure he might have AQ occasionally but that's not going to call a shove anyway. I think the majority of the time you'll get called and see a premium pair.

Having said that, I probably shove here as well in the heat of battle cos we have AK and folding is no fun.

I don't see why you can't just call preflop closing the action.

If your equity is 30% vs 2 or 42% vs 1 and either opponent folds 25% of the time (12.5% each), your ev is -1.84. If they both call 100% of the time, your ev is -12.65.

If it were headup or if the action were like this: hero raise, mp coldcall, bn 3 bet; then things would be different.

a 22/12's 3betting range will most likely be TT+,AQ+ (without history) and may be wider from the BTN.

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 49.175% 38.86% 10.32% 29939770 7951130.50 { AdKh }
Hand 1: 50.825% 40.51% 10.32% 31211649 7951130.50 { TT+, AQs+, AQo+ }

plus he will fold a lot of this stuff, so shove is teh goods

I don't want to Hijack OP's post, But other than limping a little more. A 22/12 and a 15/12 pretty much Raise the same types of hands, don't they?

I also believe the 3 better needs looser numbers (PFR), not tighter.

Imo.

nittier numbers (15/12). an OK player who is positionally aware enough to know you are raising UTG.
