I have a bulldog, great dog for the apartment, he'll sleep alot, and he's not going to destroy everything.

One downside, he does snore.

Western Highland Terrier or "Westie"





We have two friends who own this type of dog and they are smart and mellow with a cool temperament. Plus they are chick magnets!

Okay serious suggestion... a "cairn terrier". They are awesome. If you like dogs with an independent personality and a ton of energy you'll like them too. They can be trained reasonably well though, but you need to be somewhat good at training dogs (which at least 90% of the dog owning population isn't).

They can also grow pretty old for dogs, 17 years(+) of age isn't uncommon at all.
