Yes, bigger cont bet... i'd say 250 - 300

I may check the turn as a lot of outs make a flush possible, thus weakening our belly buster.

Then again, I may try a firing again for 400 - 450.

Raise less pf. You're just bloating the pot and you'll force your cbets to be bigger.

Don't cbet this flop. This is pretty much the worst flop you could hope for.

Definitely check the turn and hope to see a free river.

I think 3.5 pre-flop is fine at small blind levels.

Cont bet is reasonable given str8 draw and texture making it likely for raiser to have hit, is it not? I tend to check those flops where its clear a raiser hads missed i.e. T high. Is that bad?

Well, for the same reason it is likely our hero hit this flop, it is likely that the villain hit this flop. However, we know that the hero did not hit this flop. So, this is the information we should work from.

Also, most villains will not look at this board and think "hmmm, good flop for the raiser." Villan will look at flop, look at hole cards, and think "duh, I hit", or "duh, I have a lot of chips and I could hit later". Notice, in both those scenarios villain doesn't not think about what hero might have.

Preflop: I'm not raising this. I typically fold ATs from this position.

Flop: Perfect flop to not c-bet. Two high cards and only two suits! I'm never c-beting this board out of position.

Turn: now I check and hope to get a cheap river. You have a double gut buster draw, but I don't like your chances of getting a fold with another bet here. So, you don't want to be building this pot anymore than it already is.

Be careful though because a texture that a raiser is more likely to hit means that the villain is also more likely to hit...It's when the villain misses that the continuation bet is most effective. Unless the villain is huge stack and willing to toss away some chips on the offchance that he hits or is a very loose caller, you have better FE when the villain doesn't hit than when he does.
