River range - 87 (trying to push you off a ten) 88 (if he limps the button, probably not) 89, A8, low hearts (could be paired or unpaired), QT-AT.

Don't think that I missed any.

After villain raises the flop, but takes a free card on the turn, I put him on draws a lot. I can beat all the draws on the river. He might have TP or something, but I don't think he would value bet it when checked to on the river, because he isn't getting paid off by much that he beats. I think he would have taken his showdown value with such hands. So I think my check induced a bluff from a busted draw. Because of this, I called his river bet.

You can't beat all the draws on the river, especially when any 8 makes an open ender on the flop.

Kind like the thought process, but on this particular board you're behind too much of his 'bluffing' range to call.

I dont think villain is betting 1/2 pot on the river as a bluff. Looks more like "please call me"

If he has 88 he has showdown value and doesn't need to bluff

your thought process is correct, but people who use this fishy line don't realize it. They use argument i quoted before for why they should raise the flop, then once the "pot control" the turn they just figure a pair is probably worth a small bet on the river, they don't really think too much about what you have, or what worse hands can call them.

How does 8-high have showdown value?

7-8-9-T doesn't make a straight. Or a pair. Or anythying, really.

Do you guys mean a T?

Anyway, fold, because c/ring this river is usually going to elicit an "O RLY?" and a call. I guess it's sweet if you think his range is bluffs, because you can't call, he might be bluffing with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], lol.
