Grunch.

I push over the top here.

What could this guy have?

I bet he's semi-bluffing a flush, or straight, draw that was runner runner until just now, don't ya think? OR a weaker ace, or AK for for chop, or ??

I think you're good here most of the time against this guy. Push.

Also: Regarding his stats.

He's A friggin' 55/20 - He just called on the BUTTON, so there's no way he has any pocket to make a set ( much less 99), not AK, (probably no ace at all)nor anything that could beat you, except maybe 89o or 94o..

Okay, his aggression "factor" is 1, but over only 60 hands - he could easily be card dead and is semi-bluffing JT or clubs out of frustration. and it's a 1 against a 55, not like it's a 1 against a 20.

Just IMO

I want to add that aggression factor of 1 is actualy high considering he plays over half his hands, but also I want to add that people should NOT rely on numbers like this that much

Just because he raises 20% of hands preflop doesn't mean he 3-bets any PP, any ace, etc.

Yea, perhaps not - but I bet he's doing something here on the flop.

I guess the point is that his range is so wide, and we beat so much of it....

I should mention that Since I only play Live, we don't have numbers like this to go by, and so I'd agree that notes are better than numbers....

I shoved it, and I'm still on the fence as to whether I played it ok. He had 99 for a turned set

EEkkk. NH villain I guess. lack of visual reads though is exactly why I play live instead of online...

I was really thinking a 55/20 would raise PF with 99 on the button. Guess not.

Make a note for reference: "Called raise PF with 99 on button, called flop of A84, and then shoved turn when 9 fell".

On that note, looking at the hand again, why not bet 20 on the flop here?

On any Ace flop, I generally make a smaller continuation bet. I do this because I find people surrender more easily to C-bets with an Ace on the flop... and I C-bet whether I have an Ace or not, so why not risk fewer chips for the same effect?
