Id say the gaming machines are just a random stat so the general reader can picture the size of the development. I live in a small city with around 250,000 inhabitants. There are 4 casinos in the city, two of which have big poker rooms. They run tournies everyday of the week and always have cash games running. There are also betting shops on every street in the UK.

All these things are going to have is slot machines with higher jackpots. So the only people who this is going to benefit is the muppets who play these things.
