Re: Best Monitor for 12-tabling??
I have a 17" Dell laptop with 1920 x 1200, and I have a 24" Dell with 1920 x 1200, and I do not like the way the tables look when set to the size necessary for 9-tabling. I have better than 20/20 vision, so that's not the issue. If you find that the resized tables look good when set to the smallest size, then 1920 x 1200 should be fine for you. 9-tabling on 2560 x 1600 30" (or 6-tabling on a 1920 x 1200 screen) looks fine IMO, but I do not like 9-tabling on a 1920 x 1200. If you do, then go for it. But the 28" is not going to be any better unless you simply have bad eyesight / want to sit further back from the screen. The tables themselves will be set to the exact same size (in pixels, not inches). The text will look the same. That is the issue.
The Costco 28" should require the same graphics card as a 24" with 1920 x 1200, not the same as the 30" requires. |

I am in the process of redoing my home systems. Currently have 2 20" Dells at the moment but plan to ditch one and get something bigger. Depends on if I can convice myself to spend the extra money or not. |

posted it before, but there's what 12tabling looks like on a 30". I can get a screenshot too if you would like. font gets kinda small, but it's not TOO bad. |

Re: Best Monitor for 12-tabling??
When I put 9 tables on my 17" 1900x1200 laptop monitor, it's not so bad. I'm assuming that if it is scaled to a 28" monitor, the tables would be pretty big. Is my assumption wrong?

[/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] exactly.. it will be bigger... but.. its no different then hooking your computer up to an old big screen tv, its just like zooming up closer. The size will increase but the quality will decrease, making the picture quality terrible.. basically, its using the same 1900x1200 dots on your 17" laptop, to stretch out and fill up the screen on the 28" monitor. I suggest just biting the bullet and getting the 30" 2500x1600 dell, (since you're a winning poker player anyway ) I 12 table on it and i think its great. |
