Re: Tutorial: How to auto-import Stars HHs into Poker Tracker
J,
I just googled "comcast pop server" and it looks like it's mail.comcast.net. (It'll very often just be whatever comes after the @ in your email address w/ "mail." prefixed to it). |

Wiggs,
Does it matter if we make Stars save the HH for greater than 30 days? |

That is why I now go to the Pokerstars lobby and from there go to request->tournament history where I can manually write how many tourneys (up to 200) I want them to send to my gmail. That seems to work a lot faster. [/ QUOTE ] QFT. This is much faster but if you have more than 200, get your last 200 then follow wiggs tutorial for the rest. |

It probably wouldn't make a big difference if PT auto-requested smoothly, but I always have to click Stop and Start for each one. I'll have to try just getting my last 200. |

Thank you. That actually looks familiar to me from when I set my mail accounts up after I switched to Comcast, so I'm sure you're right.

I am new to poker tracker and only use it for tracking my sng progress (roi, itm, etc). What is the purpose of importing the HH? Is it only for tracking oppentent's fishiness or what? [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Whale, The HHs stored on your hard drive don't have any finish info, so you have to enter it all by hand in PT. If you request full summaries then import from email, all the finish info for you (and others) is there. [/ QUOTE ] I currently manually request x tourney histories at the end of each day (I usually ask for 40-60 depending on how many I think I played that day -rounding up), which is working well. I get all the info that I think that I need (places finished etc). I have the HH's stored on my HD for several days to analize with sng wizard. My original question was why should I inmport these HHs into PT? |

Re: Tutorial: How to auto-import Stars HHs into Poker Tracker
Whale,
Are you asking "why import the HHs from your hard drive before importing from email"? If so, it's so the 'empty' summaries appear in PT so that you can use the auto-request feature in PT. If you're already manually requesting your summaries, you can skip that step. |
