Re: Hypothetical situation- sacking the QB.
honestly I think the only QB I have a shot at sacking is Bledsoe. Even though he's big and strong, I might be able to wrap his legs up.

Re: Hypothetical situation- sacking the QB.
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Let's make it easier Average man VS all conference D-3 offensive tackle. The average man will get zero sacks and no tackles the entire game. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, this really isn't even close. Especially considering the average man will be at the very least giving up 50 pounds of pretty good athlete. Edit: even if by some miracle you make it past the line, try sacking Big Ben, Daunte, JaMarcus Russell, etc. [/ QUOTE ] Right, 50 real pounds, but thats only because the average guy is going to be fat and out of shape. Its more like 75-80 lbs of useful weight. |

He's bigger stronger and faster than any average man. |

You could remove the offensive line completely and the chances I sack an NFL QB are pretty low. [/ QUOTE ] this made me laugh really hard, mostly because it's true. |

[/ QUOTE ] I don't think actually tackling these guys would be much of an issue. Guys like Drew Brees, Brett Favre, and Matt Hasselbeck aren't physically imposing. Hasselbeck, I've seen close up and he's not too big, except for his hands, which are gigantic.. |

Re: Hypothetical situation- sacking the QB.
If I was at the QBs blindside, and noone blocked me, and the QB held the ball long enough for me to get to him I might get a sack.

Re: Hypothetical situation- sacking the QB.
Hasselbeck is listed as 6'4" 225lbs. I'm 5'9" 180. It would not be an easy takedown. Maybe I'm just a poor tackler, but I get the feeling that if they're trying to not get tackled, it ain't gonna be easy.

Re: Hypothetical situation- sacking the QB.
If you have to get by a OT, there is 0% chance of this happening, none. If there was no o-line and I got a good head start and he won't move an inch, then yeah, I could do it.

Re: Hypothetical situation- sacking the QB.
I feel I could do it with no O-line and the blind side and it wasn't a QB I would have zero chance of sacking.
Not I use could very literally here. |
