Re: 400NL- 72s facing overshove on A turn
[ QUOTE ]
I don't think so. easy fold. [/ QUOTE ] What is the thought process behind the decision that this is an easy fold? Is it based on the fact that we have bottom two pair and the guy shoved? |

Re: 400NL- 72s facing overshove on A turn
Villain limps pre / smooth calls dry flop w/ 2 players to act / shoves over two barrels (one into 3 players) AHi 2 flush turn. To me, this looks incredibly strong. AJ/A7/A2/JJ/77/22 are all solidly in a 30/13s range given the action. 98s / T9s are certainly possible, but the turn is a pretty bad spot to shove those. While villain looks to be pretty bad, unless he’s literally retarded, this looks a lot more like a monster than a guy who’s scared to raise before the flop pulling off some daring maniac bluff on this board.

I folded even though his line didn't make a ton of sense and he showed KJo which proceeded to tilt me a little.

Re: 400NL- 72s facing overshove on A turn
There are a lot of hands that beat us right now, and this guy is saying that he really does have one of these hands (especially after two barrels.
Yeah, sometimes he has AK or something weird but this is a very small percentage of the time, and if he's doing this with a bluff we can double barrel again and get the money later. In general, I don't like calling an all in raise like this even with fairly strong hands just because if they're playing this bad I'm going to get them eventually and if they don't do this again I can be fairly sure I made a good fold. If he was bluffing, nh, but I just don't see calling in this spot as a winning play long-run. |
