Default Re: Overpairs vs. aggression...when do we get it in?

This is a set so many more times IMO and a very marginal spot. I think I'd have to call the raise and c/f the turn to a shove. If he bet light on the turn i might push on him depending on the villain.

I 3bet on the flop here. If the guy is a Aggro as you say, aggro is pushing almost any draw here, as well as Jx. It does depend to what degree of an Aggro he is, but I rarely ever give aggros credit for anything, especially when I have an overpair at these stakes. If it is an aggro that rarely stacks of with TP or any draw then you are beat, that would be the only situation Im folding an overpair to this guy.
The villain shoves the turn because you slowed way down after he check/minraised you which in Aggros mind means that you probably just have over cards, so hes going to shove because he doesnt think you will call with what he thinks is an AK/AQ or whatever the aggfish thinks.

I hate calling the min raise and folding the turn. RAISE OR FOLD

Calling the flop and then folding would be fine. His raise looks like either a monster or a medium strenth hand trying to find out if it's good. In most cases only the monster will call a raise.

We can then see from the bet on the Turn whether we are good. In this hand it looks like we are beat but I guess the flop call made him think his hand was good - another good thing about calling the flop if villain is an idiot.
