Re: How Bad Does Smoking Ganja Affect Your Play?
I think i play better stoned, more patient, more focused, and far less likely to tilt. However after a while i get so spaced out that it starts to affect my play.

I can grind all day puffing on reefers but towards the end of the day I am just clicking [censored] without really thinking about it, also I end up playing twice as many hands because my perception of time and hands passed is halved or something equally dumb.

Re: How Bad Does Smoking Ganja Affect Your Play?
I smoke every day and I play for a living. I'm trying so hard to quit, or atleast getting all my playing done during the day so that I can smoke in the evening. I know that it negatively affects my play - I'm guessing it hurts my winrate by 1 or 2ptbb. More importantly, I think it slows the learning process, so I may not be able to make breakthroughs and move up as quickly as I'd like to. ALSO, I can't handle nearly as many tables while high. On the other hand, I doubt I would be able to handle the life of a pro poker player if it wasn't for chronic.
bleh, I should have never even tried the damn stuff to begin with. |
