Re: Anonymous National League Champion
That was my first thought at a rotation, too, but I think there's too much similarity between Cook and Fogg, to where you don't want them pitching on back to back day.
I'd go Francis Cook Jimenez Fogg Francis Cook Jimenez However, I haven't measured this against a calendar vis-a-vis Cook's throwing days to see if that's even feasible. |

I went to the wild card tiebreaker, and to game four of the NLDS and NLCS. Had tix to NLCS Game 5, but...well...that game was never played.

[ QUOTE ] Small wonder that MLB has to import players from foreign countries who can't speak English to fill their rosters these days. [/ QUOTE ] What? [/ QUOTE ] It's pretty self-explanatory. How are kids going to want to be baseball players if they can't watch the playoffs? Also, the [censored] is on cable...what % of population has cable? I'm sure you are familiar with the great decline of black players. You market your product away from people they won't be interested both as fans and players. |

Re: Anonymous National League Champion
Definitely the most dramatic game I've ever attended. Reminded me of the NLCS Game 6 between Houston and the Mets from '86, which I only saw on TV. I was in 218, a bit past the edge of the infield.
Oddly enough, my wife and I have been extremely lucky in our game choices this year. We've been to 13 games, and 12 were Rockies wins (we were at the Friday night Cubs loss, where Jacque Jones pretty much pwned us). We were there for Tulo's unassisted triple play. We were there for the five run 9th inning comeback against the Nationals. We were there for that big comeback against the Pads that started in the 7th inning...Holliday hit a big HR in that one. We did not go to any of the Yankees games, though. It's just been weird, and yes, very lucky. |

Also, the [censored] is on cable...what % of population has cable? [/ QUOTE ] About two-thirds, if you count only cable. If you mean pay TV (cable plus satellite) it's probably around 80%. |

[/ QUOTE ] Mountain..it is 2hrs off of East Coast. No normal baseball game starts after 8pm in its true location. MNF is now on ESPN I believe. The old MNF (now on Sunday night on regular TV) moved from the longtime 9 pm to 8 pm and then to 8:30pm I believe. The new MNF I believe kept it. With instant replay I would guess it usually ends at around midnight or later. |
